Description
Cold pressed from grape seeds, grapeseed oil is one of the lightest carrier oils available. Pale yellow-green in color, it is rich in EFA’s (essential fatty acids) and will not clog pores or leave an oily residue on the skin. Its astringent qualities make it a great choice for facial preparations, or for oily or teenage skin. Can be applied directly to the skin for use as a moisturizer, but it is also a popular choice for many massage therapists due to its ability to absorb quickly. Widely used for culinary purposes, it has a rich flavor and slightly nutty aroma with green herbaceous notes. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight. It is recommended to refrigerate after opening.
Suggested Uses
- For acne and oily skin
- Heals wounds quickly with fewer scars
- Fades the appearance of sun damage and wrinkles
- Tightens and tones skin
- Protects against tissue damage
- Anti-inflammatory
- Treats swelling and arthritis
- Promotes healthy hair
Directions
- Essential oils are often too strong to apply undiluted to the skin and evaporate rapidly. This is where a good carrier oil comes into play. They do not evaporate or have a very overpowering aroma and so blend well with essential oils making them less volatile. This combination is perfect for all forms of body massage.
- Add 40 drops of your chosen TruGardens essential oil to 4 ounces of Grapeseed oil for full body massage
- Apply it directly to your hair to treat split ends or frizzy hair
- Dab directly to acne to calm the redness
- Apply a thin layer to face at night and wash off in the morning to restore moisture without clogging pores
- Use in place of eye cream to reduce fine lines

Avoid using during pregnancy, or if you suspect you might be pregnant, except on the advice of a qualified practitioner. Store all essential oil products safely out of reach of children. Essential oils are potent, and a little bit goes a long way. Do not use essential oils undiluted directly on the skin as they can cause irritation. Keep away from children, and do not apply near the eyes, mucous membranes, sensitive or broken skin. Every individual reacts differently to essential oils: Always perform a ‘test patch’ properly diluted in carrier oil to determine sensitivity. Great for skincare needs!
I really love using this carrier oil on my face as part of my anti-aging regimen. I add a few drops of my favorite essential oils as well as the grapeseed carrier oil, rub together in my hands and apply gently to my face. It is so soothing and my skin looks great!
