Description

The Roman variety of chamomile is a perennial ground-covering plant. Steam distilled from the flowers, it is a clear, thin liquid with a strong, warm middle note. Its aromas are sweet and fruity with a distinctly herbaceous green-apple scent. Used to calm the worried mind, it can be effective in relieving migraine, tension headaches and mild depression as well as in alleviating stress and insomnia. Added to cosmetic skin preparations as a balm for skin irritations and to reduce the appearance of blemishes, skin discoloration and bruises.
