Description

Steam distilled from the leaves of the flowering plant, oregano essential oil is clear to pale yellow, exhibiting a strong and savory herbaceous aroma that represents a middle fragrance note. Well known for its culinary versatility, the essential oil is mostly used for digestive and antimicrobial purposes. Diffuse to relieve seasonal illness, chest congestion or other respiratory conditions, and to calm sensitivity to airborne allergens. Dilute in Oregano carrier oil to relieve inflammation through massage into aching joints and muscles or to treat bacterial infections on the skin. Can also be used as an antibacterial spray to disinfect surfaces in the home. It is recommended to dilute oregano oil at a maximum concentration of 1%. Caution should be taken by those who are allergic to basil, lavender, sage, mint or marjoram as they may also exhibit reactions to oregano and oregano essential oil. ***Avoid use completely during pregnancy and while brestfeeding.

Directions
  • Diffuse 2-3 drops per 100ml of water to support the respiratory and immune systems
  • Add 1-2 drops to a teaspoon of carrier oil and apply to abdomen to relive menstrual cramps 
  • Add several drops to a spray bottle of water, shake well and spray sowers and tubs to reduce growth of mold and fungus
  • Use as a natural hand sanitizer by adding a few drops to Coconut or Almond carrier oil
