Description

Steam distilled from the seed kernels of the coniferous evergreen, the oil is clear and colorless with a warm, exotic, spicy, woodsy and nutty aromas presenting a middle fragrance note. Instantly energizing and invigorating to the psyche, nutmeg essential oil can help to overcome fatigue and nervous stress. Dilute in carrier oil at a maximum concentration of 0.8% for a soothing and warming rub to ease aching muscles or add to the bath to help relax the body and unwind the mind. Used in traditional Chinese medicine for its anti-inflammatory properties, it can be helpful in relieving menstrual cramps, indigestion and for promoting better blood circulation.

Directions
  • Diffuse 2-3 drops per 100ml of water to help overcome anxiety, fear or nervousness
  • Add 2-4 drops each of Nutmeg and Ginger to a tablespoon of carrier oil and apply in a clockwise direction to abdomen to relieve indigestion, nausea or a nervous stomach
  • Make a personal inhaler and use to combat motion sickness, congestion, and depression 
  • Blend Nutmeg with Sweet Orange and Rosemary in a carrier oil and add to a roll-on bottle. Use in wrists and temples to improve concentration
